Redundancy

A complete and utter result where you get to leave your mundane job behind and 'focus on your career' (that's find another McJob to normal people) with the added bonus of a payout not to do the job you hate any more.

Officially, there's a selection pool but it'll generally be determined by how pissed off your manager is with you when 'efficiency savings' (that's lay offs to us normal people) need to be made.

The best modern use of the phrase 'crying all the way to the bank'.
Employee is called into a room:

Manager: Profits have fallen and we need to make some efficiency savings. Unfortunately (this is shit, your boss doesnt give a fuck about you) your post has been selected for redundancy.

Employee: Oh no. This is terrible news.

Will you pay my notice in lieu?

Manager: Yes

Employee: What's the payout?

Manager: A month for every year of service. You'll get £20,000 tax free.

repundant

Packing a double pun into a sentence, etc., or too much of a pun.
Sometimes this is done unconsciously. It may be a real groaner or sharp tongue-in-cheek. Depends on one's alcohol level, intelligence, or caffeine buzz.
Mike's always coming up with double plays. He's so repundant. He gave us a couple of things he saw the other day: Johnson Road Cathouse and Womens View Gynecology.

redundant relationship

A couple who do not do a variety of activities while dating, instead doing the same things over and over again.
Every day, Jon and his girlfriend would do nothing but play Monopoly, go fishing, and walk to a hookah bar. They shouldn't be in a redundant relationship, instead they should be in more of a diverse one.

an awesome green day song that has good guitar sounds; the song is very lovesick; the premise is about a relationship where things are getting stale and the lovers dont know what to do to make things better
No I cannot speak,
I lost my voice,
I'm speechless and redundant,
Cause I love you is not enough,
I'm lost for word
