Roofie Rescue

You're in a club and you see a girl leave her drink at the bar when she goes to powder her nose. When she comes back, instead of actually spiking her drink, rush over to her and scream "DON'T DRINK THAT!". Explain you saw some middle-aged guy slip something into her drink and you just wanted to make sure she didn't end up Fritzl'd.

Next, slyly suggest she needs a new drink and that you would be willing to buy it her. How it goes from there is up to you.

Rescue Stick

: a secondary stick of deodorant, kept in a handy place in case of a sweaty emergency - usually purchased at a gas station or bodega for twice the cost of your primary deodorant stick.

Alex spent the morning surfing in what amounts to raw sewage and he only had 10 minutes to freshen up before his big meeting. While his hair was caked with feces, his clothes damp with the stink of other peoples excrements and his mood stained with the knowledge that he would probably blow the meeting; he took a small measure of comfort in knowing the sweaty smell of his armpits would be addressed by the RESCUE STICK he had put in his glove compartment.

Retail Rescue

1. An animal rescue who purchases animals to resell while labeling the transaction as adoption.
2. An animal rescue who collects donated funds to “rescue” animals from breeders and auctions by purchasing them.
3. An animal rescue who purchases dogs from another country to bring back to the US to sell them under the label of adoption.

I went to the dog auction this weekend and saw all the retail rescues buying dogs from breeders to resell using the term adoption.

Rescue Me

An FX show about post-9/11 firefighters in New York. Denis Leary plays Tommy, a veteran firefighter who can't seem to move on after splitting up with his wife and the tragedy involving 9/11. It's a great show that combines tragedy with gut-busting laughs. You already know Leary is a funny guy, but he proves to be a talented actor (and writer) as well.

FX has done some great shows; The Shield, Nip/Tuck and now Rescue Me.
