Raygun

**Raygun (noun)**: A slang term describing someone who exudes extreme confidence but lacks the necessary skills or talent to back it up. This term often applies to individuals whose boldness and self-assurance lead them to take on tasks or challenges well beyond their capabilities, resulting in outcomes that are more comedic than successful. The term is inspired by instances where overconfidence leads to unintentional humor or failure, making the person a source of amusement rather than admiration.

The epitome of toxic positivity, where a person lacks any self awareness and has no self criticism yet continues to foster an environment of praise and exuberates self praise. Has been gaslit all their life into believing they can do no wrong and that they themselves are possibly a victim of circumstance or some negative connotation and thus will continue to gaslight others while living in a spiral of narcissism and celebrate below mediocre outcomes through a sense of unjustified entitlement.

Raygun

A euphemism for an internet fraud toolkit or op written in code—fired at a target platform to juice stats, siphon cash, or knock something sideways—while sounding just vague enough to text about on the clearnet without screaming “felony.” Illegal, grimy, and not the flex you think it is.

Extended:

Noun — The codebase or script pack that executes the hustle (login spoofers, puppets, schedulers, the whole shady bundle).

Verb — to raygun: to run said code against a site or service.

Figurative — Any overpowered automation that “zaps” a problem fast (often used jokingly by devs who are not committing crimes… relax).

Origin:
From “hit ’em with the beam” (laser sight on a gun). “Raygun” is the bastardized shorthand—drops the word beam, keeps the threat vibe.
