One's preference for a particular type of sexual partner, regardless whether that preference is rigidly or casually held, and regardless how morally repugnant others may find that preference.

heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, and pedosexual are all sexual preferences. Pedosexual propaganda uses pedophile as a euphemism in place of pedosexual to make it seem like it isn't all that bad.

An aspect of social networking, where a person friends someone they no positive social connection with, for the sake of boosting their friend count, and perceived social status.

Jonas prefriended me on Facebook last week. We each thing the other guy is an asshole, but I prefriended him back to push me over 500 friends.

Ultra-popular Kim: Heather, why did you friend Jill last week, she's such a loser?
Just-as-popular Heather: Because she worships me just like my other 1200 friends on Facebook, confirming my popularity and ensuring I'll win the vote for Homecoming Queen.

Heather grows up to become the skanky trophy wife of a used-car salesman. Jill grows up to be a lawyer and makes partner at a major law firm.

racial preference

Racial preference is defined as favoring or choosing one group or individual over another based on race. Ethnic preference is often tied in, but less common since ethnicity is not always as easy to discern.

Example:

Basketball Player 1: "Sheeit guess the coach had to pick and choose with them two new boys"

Basketball Player 2: "Come on, Homie. Choice was obvious. Everyone knows white boys can't jump."

Basketball Player 1" Fuck, dude. I didn't know you'd be getting all racial preference on me."
