Scientific Pluralism

The recognition that there are multiple, legitimate ways of doing science, multiple valid methods, multiple useful ontologies, and that no single approach exhausts reality. Different sciences study different scales with different tools; within a science, multiple models may coexist (particle vs. wave). Pluralism doesn't mean "anything goes"—it means the world is various, and our ways of knowing must be various too. The pluralist doesn't seek the one true method—they seek the right tool for the job, and they carry many tools.

Epistemological Pluralism

Science knows some things; art knows others; tradition knows others; intuition knows others. Pluralism doesn't mean "anything goes"—it means reality is various, and our ways of knowing must be various too. The pluralist doesn't seek the one true method—they seek the right tool for the knowing job, and they carry many tools.

Pluralite

A person who identifies themselves with they/them/xey/xem/ etc. pronouns and the like. Often associated with but not limited to people or persons with bright or colorful hair, various piercings, tattoos and possibly shouting about a political or social issue which most likely are misinformed or have little knowledge about.
Also a play on the word "plural" in reference to the words "they" and "them" that are typically plurals. Inspired by the French term "pluralité" from the online Cambridge Dictionary.

Person 1: "You know that pluralite with the bright color hair we just spoke to? Do you remember what pronouns they used?"
Person 2: "Nah, I already have a hard time speaking pluralese as it is."
