Trump can't win the general. DeSantis can. DeSantis can't win the primary because trump won't let him.
DeSantis is going to force trump to run because trump can't stand the thought of DeSantis beating biden when trump lost to him. This is especially true given bidens declining approval ratings.. There's no way trump is going to allow DeSantis to receive what trump sees might be an easy win.. Trump will wait till the last hour to run so that DeSantis will already have expended much energy and resources to the point that it will be humiliating for DeSantis to back out. Trump actually wants DeSantis to not back out so he can "Pence" him.
