Clickbait: content that is labelled with an extremely exciting/sensational title but with content nothing close to it.
Point is, you click on it and:
1. The person who posted the clickbait gets a view;
2. The website who made it gets ad money;
3. You get shown a scam.
The point of clickbait is to entice you to click on something. Once you've clicked, the baiter gets some kind of benefit while you get disappointed.

Get the Clickbaitmug. Something David Dobrik and the vlog squad use on all of their vlogs. David has even made merch baised on the fact he uses clickbait. Clickbait is something that draws you in to click on it, to watch a video to see if it actually happens: example "OMG this landed him in the hospital!" So you click on it to see what happens, when in reality it never happened.
Omg that video said he shaved his head so I clicked on it, he never shaved his head.. I so got clickbaited
