Midger

Pulling a "Midger" is best described as a person who misleads someone in to believeing they are skint & asks for money with a promise to payback withing a few days after being paid. (generally only small amounts cash) Once you have handed over the cash, the person in question will tend to ignore you &/or your requests for the cash back under the impression that you will hopefully "forget" about the money, if you are persistant with your request you will grudgingly get it back however.

Marks pulled a midger on my ass again...

minger

A derogatory term specifically for an English person. Comes from the Glasgow rhyming slang. The word England is often pronounced as "Inger-land" by English football fans, thus inger minger.

It comes from the Scots word "ming", which refers to several things, such as something smelly, poor quality, unattractive, and also to human excrement, the latter definition documented by Watson in the early 1900s around Roxburgh.

The word minger was picked up by Big Brother's Jade Goody to describe herself on national TV in 2002 and quickly spread around English youth culture, all blissfully unaware of it's correct meaning and true origin - as shown by the wrong entries in this section.
