Synonymous to 'insane' or 'blow-your-mind-awesome'. Very popular in the Midwest United States, and is frequently used when speaking through a public address system.

The word is often associated with events happening on Mondays, thus forming the phrase, "matatical Monday".

An object that is incredibly tacky, kitch etc but at the same time because it is so tacky that it is cool or funky.

Defined when on a trip to a homeware shop in Essen, some of the stuff was tacky, but we looked at the display with plates and cute little toy tigers and coined the phrase tactastic. The term just fitted the dancing flower she bought me.
