In response to the previous comment regarding the 1st verse in the song"Me & Bobby Mcgee" ...Itis well known that the "Harpoon" is a reference to a syringe used for shooting heroin. The "dirty red bandana" is used to tie off the vein.

Who ever wrote that it meant harmonica is guessing and a trolling fool.
