When someone involuntarily falls asleep, 'passes the fuck out' or otherwise knocks themselves out and they end up unconscious on the ground they had just been standing on.

When you take a major fall off of typically an off road personal vehicle...ex: dirt bike, atv, quad, etc. This could also easily be applied to falling off of anything really...ex: bicycle, skateboard, rollerblades, stripper pole etc.

Holy sh*t dude! Did you see that douche bag try to jump over that dune on his quad? His leg is turned around backward! That was the worst dirt nap I've ever seen!

The act of passing out drunk to the point were your buddies can't tell if you're dead or just snoozing. Dirt naps usually occur in Las Vegas where the beer flows like wine, and last longer than a regular nights rest. The term is normally utilized to denote the uncertainty of the person's return for the next day's festivities.

Hey, where's your buddy from the craps table last night? He was a riot! "He's out cold taking a dirt nap." will he be back? " I have no clue."
