Internet-language for died

Often used in the comments on sites like 9gag, when the post is about someone who did something dangerous and could have severely hurt themselves. Frequently, when someone uses "died", he will instantly be corrected to dieded"

May also be extended to "diededed" or even longer and more exaggerated forms.

(someone does a backflip and fails, a video of that gets poster as a gif on 9gag)

sheep dipped

The phrase "sheep dipped", is commonly used in intelligence circles. It's a way of saying someone has been given an alternate identity. The best known example being Air America, but also in many other covert ops applications. Not necessarily military. "Those who were accepted got "sheep-dipped" and vanished."

Dipping a sheep gets rid of creepy crawlies. Dipping a person figuratively gets rid of details of his/her former life.

SHEEP-DIPPED - Stripping a soldier of his military uniform and identification so he can pose as a civilian during a covert mission.

Lee Harvey Oswald was "sheep dipped" in order to carry on his involvement in the CIA's clandestine activities.

The day the music died

Term used to describe any day in which a musician of critical acclaim passes on. The term generally refers to the day Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper passed on when their plane crashed, but has in recent times been used to describe the passing of other legendary musicians such as Elvis Presley, John Lennon and most recently, Michael Jackson. The term originated from Don Mclean's song 'American Pie', and the event itself is a very emotional time for the music industry, and of course the many dedicated fans of the icon themselves... but it is important to remember that although they are physically gone, the musical contribution they have made to our lives and the music scene in general shall remain with us always...
