Caped Gweirdo

Formally, a caped gweirdo is a complex mythical term but can be used as an insult. In its more common usage, it specifically implies that someone is beyond weird, physically aggressive, and dresses themselves in strange attire to intimidate. The term can also just mean mean or aggressive over small things. The plural is caped gweirdoz not caped gweirdos.

Carpe Diem

A shortened version of the original Latin phrase "Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero" meaning "seize the day, trusting as little as possible in the future."

Commonly used to justify spontaneous behavior and to make the most out of today, because one doesn't know if they'll live to see tomorrow.

However, the actual phrase is not saying to ignore the future, but rather to do as much as one can now because they won't know if everything will fall into place in the long run.

Benefit yourself now, so it can pay off in the future.

The complete fucking opposite of YOLO.

I should probably study for this calculus exam to help me become a civil engineer, unless I want to end up smoking crack in the back of the McDonalds parking lot. Carpe diem!

As gratitude:

Jeff: "I helped your sister get her car out of a snow bank last night"

Mike: "Thanks dude, that's cool of you"

Jeff: "No need to thank me, she rolled out the pink carpet"

Mike: "What?!"

As atonement:

Jeff: "Fern borrowed my new car and scratched the damn paint!"

Mike: "Did she roll out the pink carpet?"

Jeff: "Damn right she did!"
