Band kids are people of high school or middle school age that are obsessed with reddit and constantly make meme references during conversations. A good way to locate a band kid is seeing if their profile picture is some really unfunny meme like soviet doggo or beanos or if they unironically use deep fried memes and say "poggers".

Normal person: My grandma died recently so I've been feeling pretty down
