Boyfriend Island

Describes a period of time when a friend is un-contactable due to being loved up with/holed up with/obsessed with a new boyfriend. Person becomes as isolated and uncontactable as if they were on a desert island.

'Have you heard from Kayley?'
'Nope, she's on boyfriend island. She's not calling anyone back. Totally out of the loop'.

When you start dating your s/o and fall into the trap of changing your eating and exercise habits. This is due to the lack of incentive to be slimmer since being in an established couple leads to complacency.

Nick, now you’re in a new relationship. Which puts you at risk for gaining the boyfriend 15. The boyfriend 15 quickly turns into the boyfriend 20.

Person 1: “Alexis is so cute and she loves anime and games and is 21 like me”
Person 2: “Umm dude, you know she’s in a relationship with Steve.”
Person 1: “Aww man, she’s not boyfriend free!”

The couch outside of a dressing room designated for those not trying things on, but rather there for support. Most commonly reserved for those with Y chromosomes.

boyfriend drop

Subtly adding the fact that you have a boyfriend into the conversation in order to deter anyone who is potentially interested. The first time this happens is the boyfriend drop. Also can be used in describing this event by the other person who was interested.

Harvey: 'She boyfriend dropped in our last conversation but I'm still interested.'
