1 (the crime definition): An adult that builds a sense of trust with a minor to exploit and/or abuse them, typically (but not always) in a sexual manner. This is a crime, and it also causes harm to the minor.

2 (in US politics): What republican politicians and supporters refer to LGBTQIA+ people and their allies as, to manipulate their audience to pass anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation. This is targeting and harming LGBTQIA+ people and the people using the word in this manner typically are (or have connections with those who are) actual groomers.

3 (the pet definition): A person who washes and takes care of pets (typically but not always dogs) while people are away from their home, typically for pay. To make sure people are confused with the first definition, these people are typically called pet groomers.

1. You definitely shouldn't be a groomer, that's a crime and is outright immoral!

2. It's very ironic that Glen Uselmann considers LGBTQIA+ people as groomers when he literally groomed a 12 year-old from girl from 1988 to 1992.

3. I went on vacation last week and the flight had a no-pets rule, so I hired a pet groomer to make sure my dog is okay while I'm gone.

Stella's got her groove back

"How Stella Got Her Groove Back" was a mediocre and very forgettable 1998 movie that was most noteworthy and only remembered today for having a funky title. While there was nothing really about this movie worth remembering, it's silly title lives in as a sportscentery pop-culture reference used to describe a previously good player or team that's been in a slump emerging from that slump. Gen-Xers will cackle with the reference while millennials will shrug their shoulders as it passes over their heads...

(Radio play-by-play baseball commentator) "Santana's at the plate, he's been in a bit of a funk, hasn't had a hit in 5 games. Here comes the pitch across the plate, swung on and (CRACK) belted - it's going long - got the distance - STELLA'S GOT HER GROOVE BACK IT'S A HOME RUN FOR SANTANA!!!!"

This what a cat does during the act of hunting to make its prey think it is no longer interested. The cat stops, looks away, and starts to lick its paw as if nothing ever happened.

As the cat began to sneak up on the bird, the cat stopped when it noticed that the bird saw it coming. The cat began fake grooming so as to appear disinterested in the bird. It works every time.
