Hardcore Gamer

A person who devotes a large portion of their time towards gaming and gaming variations. A hardcore gamer might often attempt to optimize their playing style, often by the use of gaming gear or mods/addons; this practice is often common for casual gamers, but to some lesser extent.

Jim plays World of Warcraft and devotes the majority of his time to his raiding guild, including altering his real life schedule to suit his guild's needs. Hence, he is, to some extent, a hardcore gamer.

wannabe gamer

Someone who only buys games like call of duty, halo, and gears of war just to get themselves "in" with the gamer crowd. Wannabe gamers commonly overuse words like "n00b" "p0wn" and "l33t".

Many people wonder why anyone would want to be considered a gamer, as gamers commonly live in their parents basement off pizza and 2 liter bottles of soda. This is a mystery still unsolved by modern science.

Bubba: Dude should I invite Dick to come play some mass effect with us on Friday?

Chazz: Nah brah Dick is just a wannabe gamer he probably doesn't even know what mass effect is.

Gamer uniform

The default clothes to wear when you have no intention of leaving the house because you'll be spending the rest of the day playing online games. Typically, the gamer uniform consists of: underpants; t-shirt; you're unwashed; unshaved; a cup of coffee nearby; snack food.

Gamer Nachos

The nachos you make in the middle of a long gaming session. Consists of whatever cheese you have laying around (usually Kraft or Velveeta) melted over chips. Made very quickly because you need to get back to gaming.

I made some gamer nachos between COD matches, really helped me power through the next 4 hours.
