1.) To advertise a game/app/product that isn't the one advertised when you download / buy it
2.) Usually clickbait, but some (most) people use it for money (e.g: businesses, huge international brands / companies, etc.)

Something that keeps the masses busy.

The bubbly girl had them build a statue of Zeus for her so that people would have a false idol to worship, something that wasn't real to kneel before, since she thought they were all really dumbasses anyway.

The definition that says a remake with a lot of new content is like a sequel , umm no. It’s more like what Disney enterprise does. Kingdom hearts 1.5 etc. lion Kong 1/2 and not a sequel. And no one else ha even attempted this.

People is really trying to mess up the English Language with faulty definitions trying to be smart and intelligent that words like false requel has to come to life.
