the kitty is getting fatter

A phrase used to describe almost any situation where something is growing or increasing in size, depth, shape, weight, or awesomeness. It can also be used instead of "the plot thickens" or "this looks bad".

First heard on "Frat Party At The Pancake Festival" DVD, Phoenix (of Linkin Park fame) held up a tip jar and said, "It's getting fatter, the kitty is getting fatter!", referring to the exponential increase of spare change as time went on.

1. "So I checked my bank account. I now have almost $500! The kitty is getting fatter!"

2. "So I'm almost done redecorating my room. I got new curtains and hung up some Christmas lights." "Wow, the kitty is getting fatter."

3. "...so it turns out, Stacey thought she slept with Mike, but she actually slept with his brother, who was passed out in Mike's room." "Holy shit." "But that's not all..." "The kitty is getting fatter?!"

Rascal Flatts

One of todays best country music bands, which has true talent, and excellent lyrics.. Most of their songs are about love. The Bands members are: Gary LeVox, Jon Don Rooney, and Jay Demarcus. A native of Columbus, Ohio, DeMarcus moved to Nashville in 1992 to find work as a musician. In 1997, he convinced his second cousin LeVox, also of Columbus, to come to Nashville to pursue a career as a singer. DeMarcus met Joe Don Rooney, a native of Picher, Okla., when they both got jobs in Chely Wright's band. Meanwhile, DeMarcus and LeVox were gigging in a Nashville bar with a part-time guitarist. When their guitarist couldn't make it to a show one weekend, DeMarcus invited Rooney to sit in. Happy with the resulting sound, they recorded some demos and signed with a Disney imprint, Lyric Street. Recenty the band have been found at Vanderbilt Children's hospital with the terminally ill patients. At their Nashville concert, they presented the CEO's of Vanderbilt Children's Hospital with $250,000. They also surprised the CEO's with the proceeds from the concert, totaling in $600,000. This is the biggest donation the hospital has ever seen.

Rascal Flatts have quite a few major hits including: Love You Out Loud, Melt, Mayberry, These Days, Bless The Broken Road, and Fast Cars And Freedom.
