A nonsense word. It allows you to call your friends names without being particularly offensive and causes them to wonder to the meaning.

Note: I have been using this word for years and when one friend informed me they hated the word, I looked it up on UrbanDictionary.com and found no definition. After reading the word defined later I felt I needed to put my definition up as well.

A slang term, commonly used to refer to males named Luis from Puerto Rico. Normally the individual in question will be a walking hard on, prone to sleazing on Asian girls in a drunken and over bearing manner.

Doofer

A person who is on welfare or the dole, but is actually quite capable of finding work. He will often fake an injury or illness to substantiate his claim that he is unable to find a job or perform work if a job should be found for him. He finds it more convenient and easy to live on the dole.

What a doofer! He sits around all week watching Emmerdale, and only goes out once a week to collect his dole.
