after-timing effect

The psychological phenomenon where an individual experiences frustration or regret upon discovering a beneficial change or opportunity that occurs immediately after they leave or finish an experience. It often involves feelings of envy, loss, or unfairness, as the timing of the improvement would have directly benefited the individual had it occurred earlier. free-timing

Instead of "retiring" from a career, let's make it something that explains the delight of having more free-time available to do whatever we want. While working, we often have too little of it, so once we aren't working, we are "free-timing" to do the things that escaped us for too long.

I'm anxious to see the things I'll do once I'm "free-timing".
