Donkey Divot

(noun)

A gloriously polite way of calling someone an asshole without actually saying it. A donkey divot is the human equivalent of the chunk of turf ripped out of the ground after a terrible golf swing: unnecessary, messy, and leaving everyone around wondering why it happened.

Often used when someone is acting rude, clueless, or aggressively annoying but you’d still like to keep things technically PG.
