A Pickle Run is when a couple of Italian guys get together to take part in some illegal activity. The activity usually involves some kind of contraband. The reasoning behind the name " Pickle Run " is that, back in 1927, a guy by the name of Joseph Luco was selling bootleg pickles on the docks of Brooklyn, NY.
