Femism is a collection of ideologies that have existed for around 200 years or so. It is used as a blanket term for many things, but really there are as many types of feminism as there are cats. At its root, feminism has been about equal rights for women, (votes, pay, legal, social, respect).
Some people accuse feminists of hating men or viewing women as superior. Some radfems are like that, but most aren't. The very difficult struggles of women in the 20th century has resulted in signifigant gains for women IN 1ST WORLD COUNTRIES, to the point where some crazies call men worse off than women. Feminism isn't solely focused on women (it's more focused on womens issues, but most fems don't ignore men's issues), most feminists do not view men as inferior.
Feminists are mostly proponents of that people a. shouldn't judge based on gender and b. aren't limited by their biology. Thanks to feminists, sexism and rape are despised, pay diff. and legal discrim. are illegal, sex is much less taboo, the patriachy is gone and now women don't obey husbands or fathers, among many others. Now to the dark side. An new feminist ideology has emerged, not focusing on places that need feminism, like Iran where women's rights are in the dark ages, they instead focus on people's free speech first world countries. These feminists focus on a very vauge patriachy, and rape culture, and use it as an escuse to control people's speech. Remeber that it is a diverse label and you should be fine.

an idea that involves the fair and equal treatment of people, regardless of their gender. A feminist believes that while women are physically different from and think differently about some things than men, this does not make either superior or inferior, it just means that they are different and should not be used as a basis for preferential treatment either way. Supporters of equal treatment for both genders are called feminists, whether or not they themselves are female.
Note: some feminists, often referred to as feminazis, have given feminism a bad name by claiming that men are evil and that oppression lurks everywhere. This is unfortunate, as real feminism is about gender equality.

Feminism means that women are not *better* than men, just different from them, and should not be treated any better or worse than men for it.

A cause starting from the 1970, where women wanted to be equal to men, then over time changed, and lost it's meaning, because women got ignorant and stupid, thinking men are sexist for the stupdest reasons, like saying "hi", yes it's a thing, search it on YouTube

Feminism is a social movement that seeks to increase the power of women over men. It has mainly resulted in the moral, psychological, emotional, philosophical and behavioral evolution of men. Over the past 75 years, there has been little change in any of those categories in women, their beliefs and attitudes remaining as archaic as they ever were. Males have responded, quite ingeniously, to the feminist movement mainly by gradually ceasing the exercise of power over all other people, basing their own personal survival on the marketability of their knowledge and skills. Women responded by multiplying their negative attributes. As a result, men have now begun disengaging from marriage, reproduction and other traditional roles, due to the legal, financial, psychological, social and political consequences that have been engineered against them by feminists, if they engage in those activities. However, in the end, it seems to be a good creation as it has reduced the offspring of those that don't base their thinking on objective observed reality, rather following confabulated lines of sloppy logic with promises that they will get a cookie if they kill their offspring. Their offspring are obviously not going to be the best offspring, thus best never having been born, at least less of them, via abortion. People are corn.
