A term used to describe the players in the secondary (on defense)in the NFL.

Ultimately short for Defensive Backs.

These group of players include cornerbacks, safeties and nickelbacks.

The best group of D Backs in the NFL belong to the Baltimore Ravens

go-backs

Items that have not been paid for and are still sellable, but for some reason are not in their correct spot on the shelf (or on the shelf at all).
If a person decides that they do not wish to purchase an item, from that instant forward it is considered a go-back until it sucessfully goes back.

"Is there something wrong with these cans tuna?"
"No, they're just go-backs."

A (navy) call made when you have to get past someone in the passageway, or to announce your presence in the room.

As Roof enters the mess he would call "backs" which would result in a response of "backs" by every member in the mess. A non-response generally means that the paticular members sexuality is questioned.

"Backs, big unit coming through" as Parko or Reid pass you on the way to 2 Mess.
