Apache Indian is the stage name of reggae dee jay Steven Kapur. He introduced bhangra raggamuffin also known as bhangramuffin - to the World with his first album "No Reservations" , which featured rapper Tim Dog and spawned the massive hit "Boomshackalak".

Apache Indian merged raggamuffin with Indian music as well as influences from mainstream pop and hip-hop. Born in Handsworth, Birmingham, England, Apache Indian started a trend that has found a huge following.
He is the only Asian to date to have seven Top 40 Hits on the mainstream British charts. Stylistically, Apache Indian moved from mixing Indian music with raggamuffin and hip hop to more traditional forms of reggae on his most recent album, "Karma".Apache Indian has recorded with Boyz II Men, Blackstreet, Wreckx 'n' Effect, UB40, US chart topper Sean Paul, Maxi Priest, General Levy, Brian and Tony Gold, Shaggy, Yami Bolo, Boy George, A.R. raggamuffin

1. In Jamaica people conjugate around in a large circle to smoke marijuana. Often times, they are smoking blunts that may very well be the size of your forearm. If there is a foriegner in the circle, when the blunt is passed to them, if the person can not hit it and starts coughing, the people start looking at him/her strangley. When it comes around to them again, if they fail to hit it a secound time, then the people will probably start to call him/her names. Raggamuffin is one of the most popular names to call a person who can't hit whatever is being smoked without coughing.
