"AMAPH" is an acronym for "Associate Member of the Academy of Public Health". This is the postnominal letters awarded to the associate membership rank of the Academy of Public Health (APH), the membership arm of the West African Institute of Public Health (WAIPH).

He felt honoured by the award of the rank of Associate Member of the Academy of Public Health (AMAPH) which now entitles him to use "AMAPH" as postnominal letters with his name.
