Used for when you are very sad, but there is an inside joke, which is reason you are sad. It can annoy those not in on the joke.

Example 1:

Person A- "The squid and the whale are fighting at the museum again."
Person B- "Yeah. D;"
Person C- "What...?"

Example 2:

"I'm sad, but you know, right? D;"
