English Exit

The route by which a member or members of a small group will beeline to every person and their dogs that they've remotely interacted with at the end of any event, whilst making insincere commitments to keep in touch.

Often but not always there will be an unwilling party that is clearly distressed or eager to leave dragged along.

The route often includes going further from the exit, and a undefined loitering time outside of the event area or doorway.

Example Couple at a club:

Partner 1: I've had enough of this joint, wanna bounce? Irish Exit or English Exit?

Partner 2: Yeah me too, English Exit, don't want to be rude.
Partner 1: If we must

exit-ortion

The retailers practice of trying to extract donations, often for unknown charities, from customers at the checkout -

"would you like to make a contribution to .... today?".

The cashier tried asked for an exit-ortion donation at the checkout.

American Exit

Making and attempt to politely leave a party while considerably drunk. Often against the will of other party-goers and who may try to physically stop the endeavor. Similar to the Canadian Goodbye.

The group of women at the front door stopped his American Exit.

When someone reaches their limit amid a FaceTime, Zoom, or other virtual social get-together and goes to bed.
