Current democrat president of the United States. Democrats, obviously, support him which is an enigma to Republicans.

Main criticisms coming from the Republicans are that Obama doesn't have enough experience, health care reform wasn't done correctly, he spends too much money, and he was only elected for his race.

Democrats point out the complete lack of experience Sarah Palin had in the 08 election, the fact that the health care bill was completely gutted in an attempt to make Republicans happy, the fact that numerous studies have proven (coming from prestigious universities such as Harvard) that health care reform would save $1 trillion over the next decade, and the fact that Obama's credentials are very impressive.

In general, Democrats tend to support Obama while Republicans completely disagree with any suggestion he makes. This ranges from small things such as US hosting the Olympics to large reform like health care or financial reform.

This has widened the divide in American politics.

Republican: Obama did (insert something) fuck him!
Democrat: Hmm, wanna explain why that's bad?
Republican: Uh, he- uh, well, he's spending money we don't have!
Democrat: God damn, they're all like broken records. Go look at some real studies instead of repeating garbage you heard on FOX news.
