Prayer Block

Derived from the Simpsons episode "Post Cards from the Wedge," a prayer block is done when one makes a prayer before another person and, on perpose, negating another persons prayer with one's own prayer.
ex. 1

Marge: (While praying) Dear Lord, please give my stubborn husband the wisdom to see that I am right as usual.
Homer: Too late Marge, I already use the prayer block on your prayer.

ex 2
Guy: Thank god I did a prayer block months ahead so the Yankees could win another World Series.

Player

The person you're thinking of now and the reason why you're on this site in the first place

Or...

Someone who thinks and says they're not desperate but actually are. They need to: get a brain, sustain a relationship (if they know what that word means) and get lost

gary player

A Gary Player is a word commonly associated with all-day drinking sessions. Often a Gary Player can sneak up on you when you only plan to have one pint of San Miguel following your breakfast.

Thoughts and Prayers

Everyone says, but very few actually do.

It's basically a polite way of telling someone that what they're going through sucks but it's not your problem

Now, if you ACTUALLY keep the person in your thoughts and prayers, AND make at least some effort to help them, then you're using this phrase with meaning. But most people use this phrase to politely say they don't give a damn about what you're going through.
The Correct Usage:

Jake: My Mom died.

Dan: Thoughts and Prayers for you guys

Jake: Dude is that really all you can give me?

Dan: No, I actually mean it, we can talk about it whenever you want and I'm always here for you. I had something similar happen a while ago.

Wrong Usage

Jake: My Mom Died

Dan: Thoughts and Prayers

Jake: Is that all you've got to help?

Dan: Yeah, I'm going through some tough crap too, my Instagram account got locked
