its' when you think something is really strange or weird but you don't wanna be rude and just say that to somebody so you're like, "hmm, intermesting....." and you use it as a replacement for weird, crazy, ugly, or boring.

1st person: "hey! look at my new shoes!!"

2nd person: "oh wow... intermesting......"

Usually at a financial institution, when higher-ups have sex with summer interns (usually female), with the (perhaps not so) implicit expectation that if the intern complies, they will get an offer to return for full-time out of undergrad.
