The lazy man's dolly or tracking shot. Used effectively only in cases where speed is needed to grab the audiences' attention.

"We're losing light. Let's use a zoom lens instead of going through the difficulties of pre-planning and executing a superior tracking shot."

A verb that refers to the act of running quickly in a location where running is inappropriate or uncalled for. Typical of high school freshmen.

"This school is full of zip zip zoomers; every time I turn the corner someone almost runs into me"
"Sorry, I didn't mean to zip zip zoom but I really needed to get to class"

A tard (retard) that usually zooms around in a helter-skelter fashion. Usually the zooming is done in a wheelchair or some other type of assist-type device.

Using the word zoom 3 times consecutively was first popularized by a hip hop group Wreckx-N-Effect circa 1993. This particular usage was a euphemism for sexual intercourse. Used in context, the song lyrics suggested that zoom zoom zoom or sex was the singers primary and only objective.

Zoombie

Someone who looks like they just woke up or walked off from a Zoom session in progress, or from one that just ended.

Since lockdowns started, mental hospitals worldwide had alerted the authorities that hundreds of zoombies were admitted with severe forms of antisocial or evil behaviors, with a number of them entertaining suicidal thoughts to stop their recurring mental or demonic torments.
