'Paedophiles' - A word of moral panic. Take a second to ask yourself this... Do you want fewer children harmed, or do you want revenge? It must be one or the other, as each have opposite effects. If you understood a little about the prevention of crime, in this case the prevention of sexual child abuse, you would understand that our society's desire for revenge is making the world more unsafe for children.

Sustaining a society in which Peadophiles and child sex offenders are threatened and demonised, will just put them in a state of paranoia. This will drive them underground through fear, isolation and depression. Which in its self, would dramatically restrict their ability of self-control, and so more children will be harmed.

I suggest we put our moral repulsion aside, and actually protect children. This can only be done by encouraging Paedophiles and Child Sex Offenders to seek support.

Paedophile = My focus is in the protection of children. What is yours?
