A small town in the middle of no where that does not welcome everyone as they claim to. If you are not from here you are an outsider.
They are some of the poorest people I have ever seen; some live without running water or electricity. So don't let anyone tell you there isn't poverty or extreme wealth, b/c I've seen that too.

Culpeper County, Virginia is one of America's top ten small towns, was named after Lord Thomas Culpeper, who inherited it from his father John. It was offically was established in 1700's. Culpeper, once called Farifax, and renamed by Lord Farifax the sixth, once consisted of 5,282,000 acres. This land was confiscated by colonists when the Revolutionary war began. Culpeper once consisted of Orange, Madison, Spotsylvania, and Rappahannock Counties. Wow that's huge!
Ever wonder what's up with the minute men bit? Well in at the Virginia Convention held May, 1775 in Richmond, Va. The colony was divided into 16 districts instructed to "raise" and discipline a battalion of men "to March at a minutes notice"
George Washington desinged Culpeper's Downtown streets and 229.
As far a Urban legends go, Culpeper certainly has a few of those. For example "the 29 stalker" is rumored to reside in town and be the son of a wealthy landowner, however much is left for speculation.
More fact than fiction Culpeper contains a Superfund cleanup site that is nearly 20 years past the expected date of completion.
And an officer shot an unarmed older lady for a reason that will forever be unknown. This officer is currently a free man.

a place full of ignorance. home of racism, annoying pricks with squatted/lifted trucks funded by their daddy’s money, and white girls who think they look cute wearing orange makeup. franklin county is also the home of rednecks who have the iq of a cumsock. there’s nothing here but a cookout and a lake where old people go to die. however, a positive thing is that the high school has a great special education program for all the specimen of the area.
leroy: “you wanna make a stop in franklin county?”
cody: “nah, i heard that there’s nothing but retards and pricks in franklin county VA... let’s keep going to north carolina instead.”
