Get the Technology snob mug.Someone who thinks all things should be homemade or made from scratch. They think they are super creative and crafty. Someone who is against using anything from a can in their recipes. Someone who is against using anything from a box. Everything must be organic, whole grain, multiple grain, grass fed, pasture raised, free-range, whole foods. They feel superior to everyone and insult people who don’t do what they do. Because they always do everything perfect. They are so certain of their beliefs being right. Usually someone from New York City, California, Portland.
"Oh, I would never eat anything from a can or box. Everything must be whole foods, organic, whole grain, multiple grain, grass fed, pasture raised, free-range, or maybe take-out. Everything I make is homemade and I always start from scratch. The food and everything else is so much better where I come from." That person is an elitist snob.

As a result they are able to make a better informed judgement on what music is best as they have listened to a wider spectrum of styles. They spend their spare time digging around for music that they perceive to be better than what has been spoon fed to them by the radio. This allows them to hear music that doesn't get credited by major media sources and so aids them in making a better judgement on what music is better.
Often dismissed by others as only liking music on the basis that it is obscure, skeptics of music snobs often choose to make this misinformed judgement because they don't understand the appeal of finding out about less mainstream music. In reality the music snob will prefer less mainstream music solely because it is more original and sounds better.

You will pick something from the top and say that it's fantastic, where as I will empty the entire chest, sift through everything and choose only the finest treasure. See what I mean?"

Get the beer snob mug.An indie snob is not like a hipster. They'll listen to an indie pop band, but any other form of pop is a no no. They particularly hate on Dance music. This is offensive to the average person because dance music is a big part of pop culture today. They like getting under people's skin, especially Lady Gaga fans, and tell them that their artist make manufactured pop music. An indie snob hates all pop music, and loves all indie music. They'll usually have 100+ indie bands on their iPods, and download each and every song the bands have made. If your friend ever becomes an indie snob, avoid talking to him about music.
John: How can you listen to that pop music. It's so manufactured and processed.
Chris: Then what should I listen to? Indie Snob....
