A style of dress in Japan, made popular by Mana of the now disbanded Japanese band Malice Mizer. Gothic lolitas are usually decked out in frills, lace, and girly stuff up to their elbows (of course, alot of black and gothicness is thrown in). Gothic lolitas flock to Yoyogi park in Harajuku on weekends to show off their fashon.

Miku got the cutest gothic lolita skirt at a thrift store the other day!

Christian Goth

Yes They exist!
OK like, you believe in Jesus is the only way to get saved and you aren't like a hypocrite or anything and You have the same religion as other true christians and you can still keep the blue hair,safet pins, trenchcoat, spikes,chains, dog collar,hot topic's apperal, boots, peircings,eyeliner,white make-up...etc!

Goth#1: Hey man, i'm going to a medium tonight want to come?
Goth#2: Nah way, Zues, I'm a christian goth.I got church Want to come?
Goth#1 sure.

Pastel Goth

Pastel goth (might include soft grunge or nu goth), is a new trend where usually girls (on Tumblr) will dye their hair pastel colors, wear hipster/vintage-looking clothing that vaguely) promotes goth images, and blend cutesy images/colors with skulls, inverted crosses, etc. They try to justify their look as gothic with a pastel color palette although it is more reminiscent of a lighter emo/scene look. Often looked down upon by many goths as posers (most pastel goths don't actually listen to goth music or enjoy its true elements). Also disliked by Nirvana fans because of their loose use of the term grunge to describe themselves.

Girl A: Dude, check out those cute faded lilac short shorts! Soo cute.
Pastel Goth: Yea totally! They'll go great with my Actual Pain sweater!

Mall Goth

A pathetic excuse for real gothic. They claim they are totally goth and try to dress as such, when they know nothing about the subculture.

Joe is a Mall Goth. He hangs out at the mall and claims he listens to the most "gothic" bands out there, when all he really listens to is nu metal and other mainstream music.

Goth

State of mind, with no regret of being ones own person. One who doesn't strive to be a clone of everyone else. Someone with there own mind set, not willing to change a belief because of anyone but themselves. They don't go out of there way to become someones friend but is a good one if u know one. Not always the nicest, can become pissed off very easily if annoyed but an ignorant asshole.

Foamy-"Goth is not a fashion statement just like punk."

Person 1-"Dude that kid is Goth."

Person 2-"No that kid is emo, Goths can't just go buy a couple things at Hot Topic and be a Goth."

Person 1-"Oh yeah, well that make sense."

Glam Goth

a glam goth can be male or female,has a more unique fashion sense,they dress a little different than the tradition goth,they refence back to the old glam days(ziggy stardust,t-rex,velvet goldmine)combine with goths today or in the past,glam goths are more artsy,avant-garde wear brighter colors of clothes and make-up,they push androgyn to the limit,they care how they look all the time,most of them are straight,but act like they're bi(like most goths do)also glam goths lead the sex,drugs and rock n roll lifestyle to the fullest extent.

I'm consider to be a glam goth,brian molko is considered to be a glam goth,this may be a bad example but so is marilyn manson
