Friendzone

The true Friendzone, is a place of great anxiety that forms when two friends grow close beyond conventional platonic friendship.

This Friendzone is a stressful and awkward place where both parties want more than friendship, but are afraid to take it further due to the risk of losing the friendship they cherish.

Relationships that start from this Friendzone, generally end with a life long love, or the loss of a cherished friend.
On rare occasion the relationship can revert back to a friendship if it does not work out like was hoped.

Some times this true Friendzone is caused by inconvenient relationship status, where one of the parties involved is single while the other is in a relationship and unable to reciprocate any confessed feelings.

Alex and Reagan have been friends for almost 15 years, all their friends know they are in love but neither of them has worked up the courage to step out of that friendzone.

Friendzoned

The self-inflicted limbo that man-babies complain endlessly about, when a woman they know fails to realize that she's somehow obligated to provide a romantic or sexual relationship to any man who is interested and claims to be her friend, simply because he wants it. Used by the same type of guys who claim to be "nice" yet call women used up sluts for having sex with men they're actually attracted to. Men who can't fathom being actual "friends" with a woman they find attractive if they can't act on that attraction - due to them thinking exclusively with their dicks and only seeing women as sex objects. If any man uses this term unironically, just run, because they have no real interest in you as an actual human being and will never be a real friend to you, and in fact are highly likely to go berserk on you at some point because they aren't getting what they want.
