A commonly said phrase by someone who is nicely baked when they are unaware of the situation.

Angel:(slowly) Hey so you wanna go grab some pizza, i'm pretty hungry, aaaannndd i want some pizza. you hungry for some pizza?
Daniel: Dude... Wait, what?
Angel: You wanna get some pizza?
Daniel: Alright, but i'm not sharing.

hurry up and wait

The concept of making every effort to arrive at a location ahead of the appointed time, with the expectation of having to wait upon arrival. The purpose behind the concept is that it builds a large amount of time into one's schedule, therefore accounting for unexpected occurrences.

When we went to the airport for our vacation, we followed the "hurry up and wait" philosophy, arriving several hours prior to our flight.

wait of shame

When two girls sleep at a house after a party, but only one of them has sex with the guys living there. The girl that didn't have sex has to shamefully sleep on the couch and wait for her friend to emerge from the bedroom before the two can leave together.

Candice woke up at 9:00 and made the wait of shame until 10:00 when Mandy finally stumbled out of Ted's bedroom holding her bra in her hand.
