aggressive slacktivism

To append a statement to a slacktivist copy pasta in the format of "X% of people won't copy and paste this status message. I'm part of the 100-X% THAT WILL. ARE YOU?". This statement is an effort to guilt other Facebook users into doing as little to address the problem as you are.

Joey outed himself as a fan of aggressive slacktivism when he posted, "I know that 97% of you won't post this as your status, but my friends will be the 3% that do. In honor of someone who died, or is fighting cancer, or even had cancer, post this for at least one hour." as his Facebook status message.

Slacktavism

The action of pretending to perform a cause, usually via posts over social media, yet not actually caring for nor doing the cause that you're promoting.

#PrayFor is slacktavism used by housewives or brain-dead teens who think that it's "deep" or "hip" to litter all over some famous person's page to make them seem like good people.

Slacktivists

Slacktivists are people who participate in tweetstorms (online) or stand outside in the streets and parks (IRL) screaming for change. These people think they can change the world by holding up cardboard signs. Slacktivism has as much chance of changing Wall Street's ways with Occupy and Anonymous signs as professional wrestling fans do of convincing the general public to "Vote -4- The Rock."

These dirty slacktivists are making it harder for me to do my grocery shopping.

Occupy Together events, lasting several weeks or months, are a perfect opportunity to practice snacktivism.

keyboard slacktivist

An activist interested in any social issue who fails to actively participate in person as a change agent. Instead, this kind of activist sits behind a computer keyboard trying to effect change using social media as their sole forum for activism. These activists are not actively engaged in the cause in person or in a physical sense.

Some protesters picketed the company to try to get the company to change their ways, while the keyboard slacktivists took up the cause by posting only on Twitter and Facebook.
