scruffle

Basically a scuffle (a short, confused fight) between dogs. Known as a "scruffle" because dogs often fight / play by grabbing each other's scruff.
"Dude I thought they were playing, then suddenly Emma got serious and got in a scruffle with Pip. I've never seen this happen."
