Soddening

A tradition in which new parents lay out sod for their child. It is typically celebrated with a party in which close relatives and friends gather and watch the baby play on the new grass. There are small idiosyncrasies depending on local tradition, but all include new babies and soft green grass.

Sam's soddening was so cute, I want a baby.

Sadeing

Based on the "Smooth Operator" singer Sade, who is known for taking long breaks in-between releases, her last album having been released in 2010.

Sadeing someone, or having saded them, means you go an extremely long time without answering them and or their text (you know, after it's been weeks).

Lorde summed this concept up pretty well in her song "Solar Power". "Can you reach me? No, you can't."

maddening

The feeling of your sanity slipping that you get when you help someone make a plan to move forward in one direction, they agree, and then they revert to an old process and expect new results.

After we discussed the plan, I found that everything that was discussed was ignored, as if nothing had been discussed at all. It was maddening.
