Poem

Poems were originally named after the famous poet, Edgar Allan Poe. Until his rise in popularity, poems were known by different names, like "lyric" or "verse". That's why Shakespeare never referred to his writings as poems, but rather "sonnets"
Edgar Allan Poe wrote many descriptive poems.

Poem

*A thing that teens use to vent. Written by unusually gifted people, nerds, goths, emos (although their poetry most always sucks), and of course, those poor, pathetic souls that think they have absolutely nothing to live for.

*Written in the form of whatever you feel like
