A word which in modern usage frequently refers to one who is biologically male. Can be used interchangeably with "dude."

Due to its etymological origins being the racial slur "nigger," certain limitations apply concerning its usage by Caucasians, but these largely vary based on setting.

A word derived from the derogatory term "Nigger." Unlike the term Nigger, Nigga doesn't necessarily have the same meaning, and CAN be used by people of all races.

Differences between the two:

1) Nigger
(a) An Offensive term used to describe a person of any race or origin regarded as inferior. Especially used by lighter skinned people towards darker skinned people.
(b) Sometimes used to describe someone who lacks intelligence.

2) Nigga
Slang term that can be used to describe anyone close to you; no matter what race you are. Can be used to describe a friend, girlfriend, boyfriend or an enemy. Like the word Fuck, when used in different contexts, it can have a different meaning.

Advisory Warning: As long as the person whom you are speaking with understands where you are coming from, using the term "Nigga" instead of homie or friend is acceptable. Always chose your words wisely when speaking with strangers.

Examples:

1) Nigger
"Billybob look! That stupid Nigger just bought a ticket to the rodeo that's scheduled this saturday"

2) Nigga
- When describing a friend:
(a) "Nick is my nigga, even though he's not black. Me and him go way back"
-When describing a love interest
(b) "Your body is bangin' baby, l love the way you flaunt it, time to give it to daddy, nigga now tell me how you want it."
- When describing an enemy:
(c) "That bitch ass nigga just jacked my dime piece and gold chain."

nigga

A word often used by black gangsta rappers to address each other, or just refer to each other in a brotherly way. And for some reason it's okay for them to use the word and no one else.

If any other race uses the word, especially white people, it's grounds for war, because the definition is supposedly inferred to mean "you are beneath me and meant to serve me."

Of course, it's completely "fine" for the niggas to refer to ANY woman, no matter what the color of her skin, as a bitch or a ho' - which is also used to imply that " you are beneath me, and meant to serve me."

You can't say the 'n' word on the radio or TV, for fear of offending a particular race. But you hear 'bitch' and ho' all the time, regardless of the women it might offend...

gangsta1: Yo, nigga! What's up!

gangsta2: Life is good, my brother! I had the time with one sweet bitch at the club. And my bitch back home? She knows when it's time to put out, You know what I'm sayin'?

gangsta1: Yeah, my nigga! My bitch, she gave me the mouth when I got home, so I put her in her place! Right off. No bitch is gonna tell me when to be home! What a bitch.

white guy: Yo, niggaz!

Nigga is slang for Nigger. Nigger is slang for Negro. Negro is an abreviation of the word Negroid which is the scientific classification for people of black descent. How much more can you hack a words origin into unrecognisable bullshit? I give it twenty more years before people have to start taking classes to understand the ignorant jibberish the average "negroid" spits out.

"That guy has very dark skin. He must be in the Negroid catagory."

An alternate spelling and phonetic synonym of the word Negus which is an Ethiopian word meaning KING. Nigga is often incorrectly associated with the word (nigger) which is a derogatory term used by non blacks meaning ignorant or coward. Because of this association, the term Nigga has been viewed by many as a derogatory term also.

It seems like everyone wants to be a nigga nowadays.

It can be simply thought of as a tremendously stupid way of saying nigger People who think that they're clever by saying "nigga" are obviously the opposite. Black kids who call each other this name are idiots, so are white kids, and so is anyone else who says it out of its proper context, period. Self-respecting black people don't go around calling each other "nigga." It's only the dumbass MTV crowd who ignore its malignant roots and think it's something amusing to say; employing it constantly. Nigga

A slang word that is ignorant to African ancestors which includes African-Americans. It does not boost image of black people in any form or manner despite the intention. It is self damaging.

It's also asking to be seen as victims regardless that their equity to date is equal in the social and business world. The word may be causing negative consequences in same cases.

Black person with friends: "Just hanging with my niggas"
Friend(s): "Why do you constantly need to degrade our ethnicity and ancestors? Does it make you feel "hard"?"
