Definition: The practice or habit of investigating the origin, logic, or backstory behind a name.

Verb (intransitive): Namerying (pronounced name-er-ing). To engage in the act of asking why something is named what it is.
Example: "I went down a three-hour namery rabbit hole after seeing a sign for 'Deadman’s Pass'."
