A small town located just beyond the dannemora mountian,where the retired go to die and the young go to save money. The police will never come to bother unless you speed. Drugs, house burning and stealing are some of the locals favorite hobies in the summer due to the beautiful scernary and nothing else to do. If your not on that end of the stick well four wheeling hunting and sledding better be cause there aint jack sh#t to do up here. Theres one gas station with no gas no bathroom and a terribly rude clerk. If you enjoy freezing to death then lyon mountians -25 degree weather and 6 foot of snow winters will do just fine for you. Great little town to die alone in.

A place where many stuck up students fill the halls and you are in one of three categories. Pot heads, Juulers, or average blurs. In Lyon county if you don’t belong to FCCLA, FFA, basketball team (starters), cheerleaders, softball players, or baseball players. You are nothing. You have your average teachers pets which walk the halls whenever they please and never get in trouble for it. In the bathrooms you may or may not smell the smell of a 5% mint pod. Here at Lyon county you either chew baccy of you’re a cuul juuler. Once you’re labeled at Lyon co, good luck with getting rid of that label. Here at Lyon we are all about your labels. If you make your way into the classrooms be careful, some of the teachers may reek of alcohol. We a huge scale of diff range teachers. We have the drunk teacher, the over achiever, the clumsy one that loses all your papers while bathing, the basketball coach teachers, laid back funny teachers, sarcastic, and hysterical teachers. Oh and you can’t forget the teachers that leave their class to play about in the shop while they walk up the halls swinging their keys. If you would like to have more of a definition of Lyon co then move there. ( but I wouldn’t recommend it )

South Lyon High School is one of two high schools in South Lyon and is known as the better school.

Get the south lyon high school mug.A typical old United States city, where everyone has so little to do that they bitch on Facebook about the town all the time. Full of people who were here when there was a buffalo farm on the corner and people who moved here because they heard it was whiter than white. Filled with hickville homes with plastic for insulation on the windows or McMansions that most can't afford. The big happening in the town is a trashy pumpkinfest once a year with a parade that literally is 2-3 hours of everyone and everything in the town on display, including 5 dance schools (with most of the teeny kids wearing so little), 2 matching bands, The town mayor, and lots of unheard of organizations. The town hosts 11 pizza take outs, 7 car parts stores , 3 or maybe it's 4 resale shops and little else. The people of South Lyon go into a tail spin for month when something like a Tim Hortons is being built. 95% of the population attends church although if you read what they say on social media you would never think it was a religion based community.
I live in South Lyon because it doesn't have any of "those " people and it still has old town America values.
