Get the Kingdom Hearts 2 mug.Related Words
An awesome book series by Ridley Pearson. It is about a group of kids from five different schools (which actually exist) that get sent to Disney World (in Orlando) to be subjects for a DHI, Daylight Hologram Imaging / Disney Host Interactive project. This allows tourists to ask questions to projected hologram guides all over the parks. However, something went wrong when they compiled their data. When they fall asleep at night, they wake up as their hologram selves in the park. This may sound fun, but it turns out the Disney villains are real! It would be cool if one of them "went" to Dr. Phillips High School, the one adjacent to Universal Studios. But no, it's a DISNEY book... not a UNIVERSAL one.
Hey man! I wonder if they really are going to put DHIs in Disney just like they did in the Kingdom Keepers!.

Get the Kingdom Keepers mug.An RPG produced in 2002 by Square-Enix and Disney. Featuring character designs by Tetsuya Nomura, well known for Final Fantasy VII, VIII and X, as well as Parasite Eve 1 & 2, the game follows Sora, a 14-year-old boy on a quest to reunite with his friends Kairi and Riku. Along the way, he teams up with various Disney characters including Donald Duck, Goofy, Tarzan, Aladdin, Ariel, Jack Skellington and others as he battles the Heartless that threaten to destroy all worlds.
While the gameplay was above-average and the re-playability good, many "hardcore" fans don't consider this game up to Square's standards. Tougher-than-thou fans point out the child-like simplicity of a boy defeating the darkness in people's hearts as being too kiddish, as well as making fun of the inclusion of Disney characters, because as we all know, Disney = TEH EVAL!!!1
If people took the time to play the game without inhibitions and enjoy it for what it is -- Not Final Fantasy -- they might find that they would enjoy the game far more than they think.
The game features various Square cameos as well as Disney, including Cloud (FFVII), Aerith (FFVII), Yuffie (FFVII), Sephiroth (FFVII), Squall/Leon (FFVIII), Selphie (FFVIII), Tidus (FFX), and Wakka (FFX).
The original PS2 Kingdom Hearts spawned an array of related media, including a PS2 sequel (due the fall of 2005), a sequel for the GBA entitled Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and a manga series. Who knows what the future will hold for this extremely popular franchise?

Get the Kingdom Hearts mug.A Square Enix - Disney hybrid game. Sequel of Kingdom Hearts.
It was advertised a lot more than the first Kingdom Hearts, and as a result has gotten more attention, both good and bad.
Using characters and worlds from Disney, as well as completely original ones, and Final Fantasy character cameos, they've managed to create a pretty freaking awesome game.
A lot more linear than Final Fantasies, it can't hold up against them storyline-wise, however featuring an incredible Real-Time Battle system it really is a completely different kind of game.
However it is often bashed by so called 'hardcore gamers' for:
a) Having Disney in it at all.
b) Having a 'simple' storyline.
c) Being a 'button masher'.
In opposition to the above:
a) Walt Disney revolutionised fantasy and animation. The movies were all great and the people who make that argument are usually ignorant pre-teens who missed the Disney Era.
b) It is the generic Good vs. Overwhelming Evil, but then, most games are like that.
c) Real Time fighting. Get used to it. It's no more of a 'button masher' than great games like Radiata Stories and Star Ocean.
In conclusion, Square and Disney tried to make a new kind of game and succeeded. Not the best game out there, but very good all the same. If you buy it expecting another Final Fantasy you'll be disappointed, it really is a different type of game.
Oh and it's better than it's predecessor in pretty much every single possible way.

Get the kingdom come mug.A new Kingdom Hearts game for the Nintendo DS. It is a remake of Kingdom Hearts Coded. Cause they were dumbasses and released it in Japan only. Not even that, it was only for CELL PHONES. Why didn't they just do THIS in the first place?
