Kamya (काम्या) is a Hindu name, from Sanskrit meaning “wish” or that which is “desirable”. In Vedic literature, Kamya is also an epithet used to designate women as loveable. The name was most likely popularized by the beautiful Indian actress Kamya Punjabi who has appeared on many Hindi television serials usually portraying the vixen or femme fatale.
