brainparked

An extended period of time when the mind feels blank. No thoughts are going through the mind, but the mind doesn't feel empty either. The term is typically used in past-tense, as an individual can only retrospectively realize that they were brainparked. If an individual realizes that they are in "brainparking" mode, then at that moment they have already left the state of being brainparked.

Sorry, I didn't hear you. I was brainparked for a while.

brainiacs

Term of mild disrespect used to describe bright, studious people, such as scientists, chess-players or spelling bee champions. Plural of brainiac. Synonymous with certain usages of brain, geek, nerd etc.

Only brainiacs hang out at the library for fun.

To deliberately use someone else's brain to solve a problem or answer a question, rather than your own, even though, with time and effort, you could solve the problem yourself.

I could've worked out the answer to Fermat's Last Theorem, but I brainjacked Brian instead.
