It is also well known for many migrants from Atlixco living in New York, as most Mexicans in New York and New Jersey ( mainly northern queens, Bushwick, Jersey City, Bronx, Sunset Park, etc) come from Atlixco, specifically villages like San Jeronimo, and San Pedro de Benito Juarez.

I can’t wait to go to Tienda Zocalo de Atlixco in Bushwick, they have some of the best Tamales in New York, and their food is just like how it is made in Atlixco Mexico!
